The Mirror
Ladies, I know we can all understand what it is I am about to discuss: The Mirror. It is an unforgiving critic, isn't it? We are so used to seeing ourselves in itsreflection and trusting what it tells us; ususally it is reflecting what we tell ourselves based on what we think the world expects. Well, we need to stop this, the mirror is not a reliable voice, the reliable voice is God.
I know that when we are dressed up with make up and a hairstyle it can make us feel better about ourselves because we are using the world's definition of beauty. However, that beauty is external and our God sees past all of that exterior into where our true beauty lies. We need to stop looking into the mirror of glass and finding our flaws and our "not good enoughs" and instead listen to God as he reminds us of our true beauty, the heart and soul of who we are as a person. As a child of God, that is where our beauty comes from.
Soloman 4:7 ESV You are altogether beautiful, my love: there is no flaw in you.
