Fun Spoiled?

There are people in this world who believe that becoming a Christian means you cannot have any fun. God has too many rules restricting what I want to do, restricting my control of my life. This is not it. God has parameters because he loves you and wants to protect you. What people are missing is that pride is an act of defiance.

““Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.””

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The people wanted to rebel against God in Pslams 2:3, thinking they were in charge instead of God. God responds in kind. First he laughs then he angers and shows them who is the one ruler. God then puts His foot down and shows them who is in control. He responds to their defiance and their disrespect to their Father. He sends His son to prove to the people who has the power, who is in charge, and who IS the king.

““I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.””

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In this time was then split in half. The time before His son and the time after His son. God made it clear that we WILL accept is son as the one true king or we will suffer the consequences. God gave us a choice, He made it apparent that His son was the only way to grace him ver wrath.

Jesus was killed and resurrected, yet even those who bore witness had doubt.

“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Lord can handle your doubt, but He will not forgive your defiance. You MUST accept His son, Jesus. Not because He wants to spoil your fun, but because He wants you to live in his live and blessing. He wants to protect you from evil and sin. Walk not in pride but in faith.
