Don't Let "Life" Get Between You and God

Wow, life is busy. Sometimes we feel like even sleep needs to be scheduled. Everything is planned out, scheduled, and most of our time feels accounted for. The time we haven't scheduled or aren't spending sleeping then needs to be used for cooking, cleaning, shopping, oh and yes ... more planning. Do not let the things of this world get between you and your time for God.

Give God the time he needs to be with you, to speak to you. Make the time, when you wake up, before you sleep, in the car driving, in the shower ... whatever works. Be open, be at peace, and let God speak to you about His plans.

Isaiah 5:19 (NIV) to those who say, "Let God hurry; let him hasten his work so we may see it. The plan of the Holy One of Israel - let it approach, let it come into view, so we may know it."

Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

He asks us for patience and for trust. Do not rush God, his plan is good and perfect. Make time for Him to reveal those plans to you despite the pattern of this world.
