Adversity

Pondering on this word as of late. I am working somewhere and the assignment was to help lift this place out of its adversity.

Adversity : a state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune

What could be surprising to me is the dedication and resilience of the workforce... but God. What does God say about it?

1Peter 5:10 ESV

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Any sense of dread, or fear, or even doubt does not come from the Lord it comes from the devil and it is up to you to send it back to hell where it belongs. Do not own those negative feelings and do not let the enemy distract you. When you choose to persevere and endure, keeping your faith and confidence in God, then your faith is more steady and you can impact others.

you will have adversity, the Bible is clear on that. You will have God to strengthen, support, and give peace, the Bible is clear about that also. Adversity will always come and God will always walk through it at our side, he will never leave us forsake us.

Do you have two choices. One – lean into God and trust him through the adversity. Two - give up and allow the enemy to win. I choose God, every time. He shows up, every time. This too will be lifted from adversity.
