Arrows

Children are a Gift from God they are a reward from him. Children born when we are young are like arrows in a Warriors hands. (Psalm 127:3-4) Arrows need to be shaped (taught), directed (shown), and shot (released). The distance and accuracy are dependent upon the archer (parents), and the bow (culture).

Think about that picture. How are you teaching your children? Modeling a Christian life? Preparing them to go out into the world on their own? Are you parenting them in a Godly upbringing? Are you paying attention to what culture is influencing them… friends, family, influencers?

Lord, as parents, or even as mentors to children not ours, help us with your wisdom and grace to raise Godly men and women. Forgive my failures and inadequacies and be the loving father they need. Lord there are so many negative competing voices today at the push of a button, help the next generation to choose wisely. Lord give me the wisdom to speak life into the generations below me and let them see you through me.
