Hotel Earth

This is not your permanent home. Time

here and life here is temporary. It is but a hotel for a short stay but it is not our permanent home. The Bible tells us that this world will disappear and those who love him will find their home in heaven.

“He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.””

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:10-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

All of this will perish, and none of it can be taken with you. One day you will look back at your life on earth and the time will seem like shorter than the blink of an eye.

“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Our eternal life is in heaven with God. We are meant to spend our time here spreading the good news living our life to the fullest. One day though we will return to our true and permanent home in heaven. This earthly hotel will be destroyed.

“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
