The Terms are Final

Jesus made it very clear, many times over that there was only one way to Heaven. The only way is through Jesus.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

I could go on, but hopefully you see my point. You cannot get to heaven being a good person. You cannot get to heaven doing good things. You can't even get to heaven by going to church or reading your Bible. The terms of the agreement are final: you MUST accept Jesus as your Lord and savior.

In today's world of being offended, arguing points, and wanting to change the narrative of terms - this is one that is final, the terms cannot be changed. No one here on earth can change the terms of this agreement with you, ever. So why didn't God make the way to heaven more "user-friendly." Why not create multiple options to choose from with the ability to swap out the accessories we don't like? I mean, everything else in the world works that way.... because His terms are final.

The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12 that we are not to be conformed to the pattern of this world, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. This word, renewing, comes from the Greek word, anakainosis, which means to renovate. In this context, it means we are to get rid of all of our old worldly ways of thinking, acting, and living, and begin to replace these with the things of God.

You can't forge your own path, you have to follow the map that is clearly laid out in the good book. Those are the terms and they are not negotiable. The terms are not a secret and everyone can read them. The terms can be accepted at any time and you are free to enter into the agreement anytime...or not. The choice is 100% hours, and the terms are final.
