We need rain

We love the sunshine! The good days the bright moments, the warmth on our skin. However, without rain seeds don't grow. We need the dark days, the dreary rain, the damp and cold to grow and to appreciate the sun.

Do you show continuous appreciation and time in prayer no matter rain or shine? The Greek verb for “continually” translates to a steadfast and single-minded faithfulness to a person, cause, or belief, demonstrated by continued loyalty and support, in order to maintain a certain course of action. In other words, we focus so much on one thing that there is no distraction, departure, or interruption from the path.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Does your prayer life grow stronger in the rain and your worship stronger in the sun? This is more likely for most Christians when what God wants is both in both sun and rain. God is there in both. Just like a seed both sun and rain are needed to grow and become stronger, “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

We need the rain and we need to pray and worship continually in the warmth of the sun and the cold of the rain. Then we will grow in the strength of our faith and knowledge of the presence of our Lord.
